Mrs. Jenny L. Harris of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away that life at St. Peters Manor in St. Peters, Missouri on November 13, 2021. She was 98 years old.
Mrs. Harris was born April 23, 1923 near Much in Perry County, Illinois, the daughter of Leland and Frances (Dreszka) Nehrkorn. She was married to Sylvester Pete Waligorski on June 26, 1948. She would marry Hosea Harris in 1972.
Jenny was a housewife and employee of the Martha Manning Clothing Factory for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church in O’Fallon, Missouri. She was a passionate seamstress all of her adult life.
Her two children, Diane (Waligorski) Kravec and her husband James Hellard of O’Fallon, Missouri and Barbara Waligorski also of O’Fallon, Missouri, remain in mourning; grandchildren, Callie (Kravec) Franssen and her husband Christopher of Las Vegas, Nevada and James Kravec and his wife Rebecca of Collinsville, Illinois. Jenny also had three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Charles, who was killed in World War II, and her brother James, who died in 1967.
A Christian burial mass for Mrs. Jenny L. Harris will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa, Illinois with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu officiating.
Friends can call from 9 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at church.
Please use social distancing guidelines. Everyone present is required to wear a mask.
Interment will be in the cemetery of the Immaculate Conception in Tamaroa.
Friends can make memorials at Mass, the Alzheimer’s Association, or the Heartland Humane Society in O’Fallon, Missouri. They will be accepted at the funeral home.
